Elizabeth Ashcroft focuses her eye on North Beach, the San Francisco neighborhood that borders downtown and Chinatown. North Beach is an area known for it's cafes, bars and City Lights bookstore.  She starts by doing drawings of the the revered haunts, then transforms the drawing into a digital image. She often colors in the reproduced image to differentiate it from the original, then mats the image to fit in a standard 8" x 10" frame.  Oh, and they're not all North Beach, she does venture into other neighborhoods.
